Who We Are

MACSAIL (Media Action for Child Safety and Information Literacy) is a dedicated community interest company committed to protecting children and young people from online harm. We work at the intersection of media literacy, digital safety, and child protection to ensure that every child can benefit from the digital world without being exposed to its dangers.

Founded by child protection advocates, and digital safety experts, MACSAIL operates across the United Kingdom but based in Derby, addressing the unique challenges faced by children across the country while building the global best practices in child online safety.

To protect children and young people from online harm by promoting digital literacy, raising awareness of internet-based risks, and advocating for stronger child safeguarding policies. MACSAIL operates primarily in the United Kingdom, a nation with rapidly growing digital landscapes and unique child protection challenges. In the UK, we work alongside schools, local authorities, and safeguarding bodies. We partner with educational institutions, community organisations, and government agencies to address the rising tide of online risks facing African youth.
